Based on previously completed work, you plan how you want to improve in a specific area. You may want to concentrate on a particular medium: watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastels, oil pastels, pencil, etc. Or you may want to develop your drawing skills, understanding of color and color theory, painting techniques or composition. You might focus on a particular genre, such as landscape, still life, narrative, figure or abstraction. Artwork may be submitted by regular mail or on-line. You receive feed back on the initial portfolio, plus four contacts on works in progress. Susan Farmer - Tiefenthaler teaches painting and drawing in workshops and through distance learning. .
